Clear Skies

The timers agree with each other

On the home screen and the bar along the bottom, the countdown ring and the number printed beside it were reading two different clocks during combat. The ring counts your weapon’s swing, which is the thing you actually feel. The text was quoting the encounter’s own pace, which is a separate number entirely. With a fast weapon you could watch a ring come round in under two seconds underneath the words "every 3.3s". Both now read your swing speed, so the number describes the thing that is moving.

Starcalling is far lighter to run

The night sky kept drawing itself while you were not looking at it. Opening a constellation left the panorama behind it running at full speed, so two skies were being painted at once, and browsing from god to god stacked the cost up further. The sky now stops the moment it leaves the screen. The northern lights also stopped doing work for most of the frame: they were computing the full curtain for every pixel, including the large stretches of sky no curtain ever reaches.

Fixes

  • The back button did nothing on the Guild page and reported an error instead of moving. It could happen on any page you arrived at directly, and it now takes you up a level rather than depending on where you happened to come from.
  • The Starcalling sky had a dark band across the bottom, drawn over the mountains. It was the active-action bar painting its own background while it had nothing to show.
  • A combat expedition listed a small experience reward for each action that was never actually paid. Combat earns from rounds and from kills, which the experience-per-hour figure beside it was already counting correctly.
  • Dungeon runs showed the wrong pace: three seconds a room at the lowest tier where it is really two and a half, and five and a half at the highest where it is four.
