Getting help
Vireldan Idle is made by one person. Write to me and you will get a reply from me, not a queue.
Contact
Include your in-game handle if your question is about your account. It is the fastest way for me to find you.
I lost my character
When you first open the game it creates an account automatically, and that account is tied to your device. If you delete the app, lose the device, or switch phones without attaching a sign-in method, there is no way for the server to recognise you, and the character cannot be recovered.
Attach a sign-in method now if you have not. In the game, open Settings and sign in with Google, Apple, or an email address. It takes a few seconds and it is the only thing that protects your progress. If you have already lost an account, write to me with your handle and roughly when you last played and I will look, but I want to be honest that an unattached account usually cannot be restored.
My progress stopped while I was away
Offline progress is credited up to a cap, and the cap depends on how far you have upgraded your Field Journal: 2 hours at the first tier, rising to 8 hours at the highest. Anything beyond the cap is not credited. This is deliberate, not a bug.
If your progress looks wrong within that window, that is worth reporting. Tell me the activity, roughly how long you were away, and what you expected.
Something looks broken
The game runs on a server, so most problems leave a trail I can follow. When reporting a bug, the useful details are: your handle, what you were doing, what happened, what you expected instead, and the time it happened. A screenshot is worth a great deal.
If the app will not load or keeps disconnecting, check the server status first. If it responds, the problem is more likely local, and a force quit and relaunch is worth trying before you write.
Notifications
Notifications are optional and only tell you when an activity has finished or needs you. Turn them off in your device settings at any time. If they stop arriving, toggling them off and on in the game usually re-registers the device.
Deleting your account and data
Write to support@vireldanidle.com and ask, and your account and its data are removed. No reason required. What is stored, and your rights over it, are set out in the privacy policy.
The game is in active development
Vireldan Idle is playable and being actively developed, which means balance changes, new content, and the occasional rough edge. Progress carries across ordinary updates, and recent changes are listed in the patch notes.
One exception worth knowing about: when the game leaves beta and launches, all progress will be reset and every account starts fresh. Everyone who played during alpha or beta receives a unique item at launch that will never be available again. The full wording is in the terms.
